Education Campus Application

Valens HDBaseT™ chips are implemented in numerous projectors installations in education campuses, such as schools and universities. These installations typically include point-to-point or point-to-multi-point connection of ceiling mounted projectors in classrooms and auditoriums. In many cases, an HDBaseT™ switching matrix is used to terminate sources and deliver 5Play™ feature-set to all projectors at a distance of up to 100m/328ft (or up to 800 meters with 8 hops). By relying on Valens integrated control channel, IR extenders can be used to allow remote control over the switching matrix from all rooms. All this can be done by relying on existing LAN infrastructure.

Home Theater Application

Valens HDBaseT™ chips perfectly suit the needs of domestic home-theater installations. Typically, an HDBaseT™ AV receiver is used to terminate the sources (e.g. Blu-ray player, gaming console) and deliver 5Play™ feature-set to the home projector at a distance of up to 100m/328ft. By relying on Valens integrated control channel, IR extenders can be used to allow remote control over the AV receiver or for using gaming console remotes from a distant room. All this can be done by relying on the existing LAN infrastructure. Moreover, in-room cable clutter is reduced to only one cable, providing the elegance and esthetics you expect in residential installations.
